For people seeking help

What happens after I share my need?

A caseworker reviews what you shared. If the need fits our model and available resources, we will ask for supporting information such as a bill, invoice, or quote and may speak with you, a referring person, or the provider. Verification allows us to decide whether we can responsibly help.

What qualifies for help?

We provide direct assistance for verified needs that qualify as charitable under IRS rules for 501(c)(3) organizations. This includes cases where someone is facing financial hardship or distress and lacks the resources to address a specific need. We review each request against objective criteria of need and available resources, then decide whether we can responsibly help.

How long does verification take?

Timing varies with the complexity of the need, the information available, and how quickly providers or references respond. Sharing complete details and documents at the start can help a caseworker understand the situation sooner, but we cannot promise a specific timeline.

Will I receive the money directly?

No. If a need is approved, Massive Good pays the provider, vendor, landlord, mechanic, medical supplier, or other service provider directly. We do not transfer cash to the person seeking help.

What if Massive Good can’t help?

We’re grateful to everyone who reaches out to Massive Good and recognizes us as a potential source of support. While we wish we could help everyone who comes to us, our ability to do so depends on several factors, including verification, urgency, alignment with our mission, available resources, and our ability to carry out a responsible and effective solution. If we’re unable to help in a particular situation, please know that this is never a reflection of your worth or a dismissal of the challenges you’re facing. Every request matters, and we appreciate the trust it takes to reach out to us.

For donors

Will my gift actually reach someone?

Yes. Your gift supports Massive Good’s charitable work as a whole: caseworkers review each request, verify the need, and coordinate the solution. It goes to the work rather than to one specific story.

How do I know how donations were used?

For every completed case we document the solution, how it was carried out, the direct payments, and the itemized costs. Our Tax & Financials page explains how we hold ourselves to account, along with our nonprofit reporting.

Do you ever hand out cash?

No. We pay approved providers directly: landlords, mechanics, medical suppliers, vendors, and others. That leaves a clear record of where every dollar went, and little room for misuse.

Can I choose who receives my gift?

No. Gifts support our charitable work as a whole, so the team can respond wherever help can be responsibly given.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Massive Good is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. EIN: 42-3879924.

Can I give monthly?

Yes. Monthly support lets us plan steady charitable work throughout the year.

How much of my gift reaches people in need?

Gifts make the work possible—both the direct help and the careful process of verifying needs, coordinating solutions, and following through. We share financial reports and real outcomes on our Tax & Financials page so you can see exactly how your support is used.
